Buyer Evaluations
This is a nicely-made winch kit for a fine cost. The hardware is fantastic and the wiring gear quite adequate. The energy leads are 6 cable with copper ends. The installation on a 2009 Yamaha Grizzly is a bit of a pain, as I had to custom-make a bracket to make the solenoid fit inside the battery cover. I also had to cut the incredibly lengthy power leads, but that wasn't the finish of the world either, you just have to know how to solder on some new ends. I'm pretty pleased with this buy and it's what I wanted. Time will tell if the winch lasts as long as I hope it does!
This winch is heavy -- a little too heavy for a small ATV perhaps but it is wonderful. I installed in on a Honda Foreman. The wiring is a nightmare in that you should hook two wires to a "switched" positive wire. I gave up attempting to prob into the ignition method to obtain such a wire and just hooked them both up to a hot on all the time wire.
