Buyer Evaluations
I mounted it on my San Pedro artist's easel and use it to raise and lower the canvas support tray. The winch itself is clunky and imprecise, with wide tolerances everywhere. I assume it really should be fine for straight forward applications like mine, but I would never ever trust it exactly where safety was involved. I think the "2000 lbs" claim really should be taken with not a grain but a box of salt. Oh, it may possibly lift that substantially weight, and technically you may get it to lift even more, but I wouldn't stand beneath the load becoming lifted unless you're prepared to be brushed by the angel's wing.
